Bis(2-butoxyethyl)adipat ist eine organische Carbonsäureesterverbindung, die als Weichmacher für Polyvinylchlorid und Polyvinylchlorid-Acetat-Copolymer verwendet wird.
Wird hauptsächlich in Gummi, Polyurethan, Kunststoff, Kunstleder und Kabelmaterialien verwendet.
Es wird als Weichmacher bei der Herstellung von Polyvinyl und bestimmten anderen Kunststoffen sowie in Lösungsmitteln und Flugzeugschmiermitteln verwendet
